Appreciating Nature is a way for us to enhance our powers of observation, our joy and wonder with being present in nature and our artistic eye for the natural world. The Western Greenway includes over 1,000 acres of green space running through Lexington, Waltham and Belmont. The Friends of the Western Greenway have been busy building trails, boardwalks, and bridges to extend the greenway trail that eventually will conntect all the parcels in a 12-mile loop. We now have reached an milestone; a 6.5 mile trail from Habitat to the Robert Treat Paine Estate, in Waltham, is now open for serious hiking.
